Pittsburgh – Intelligent power management company Eaton is helping to modernize emergency power systems at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Eaton is supporting the ongoing expansion of North Carolina’s second busiest hospital with safe, reliable and scalable essential electrical system solutions optimized to meet the needs of its rapidly growing operations.
Expected to be complete by the end of 2023, the project applies Eaton’s compact power distribution equipment and digital monitoring solutions to strengthen emergency power system capacity and preventive maintenance capabilities, supporting always-on power for Mission Hospital’s quality patient care.

Eaton is helping Mission Hospital simplify the modernization project by providing custom and extremely compact power distribution equipment that integrates seamlessly into its existing electrical system. Eaton is also applying intelligent, digital monitoring solutions to help enhance uptime, improve preventive maintenance and automate equipment testing. The innovative design of Eaton’s bypass isolation automatic transfer switches will help the hospital maintain uninterrupted power for critical loads during routine power system maintenance procedures. Additionally, new Eaton motor control solutions and switching devices will help the hospital maintain reliable power for critical operations during unexpected electric grid outages.
