Design-build and testing

Create countless scenarios to uncover risk and design flaws in any power system or electrical component in a controlled, energized environment.

True-to-life tests in real working labs

Eaton’s Experience Centers provide the ability to test real products and systems, creating “what if” scenarios via exposure to electrical anomalies without safety risks or potential product damage. Designed with full-scale power system components and loads, the Experience Centers let visitors test and demonstrate electrical issues like voltage sags, harmonics and transients.

The Experience Center training was the most intense and informative 8 hours of power quality training I have ever experienced. The opportunity to actually see transients, sags, outages and harmonics along with your discourse on causes and mitigation techniques was fantastic.

Explore every facet of design and testing

Eaton offers power quality labs that showcase the latest technologies and highlight field integration techniques, helping you solve basic to advanced application challenges. Our power quality labs create advanced environments that mirror field conditions, allowing deep dives into the most challenging electrical conditions. Lab capabilities include:

  • System reliability and maintenance
  • Understanding system constraints
  • Electrical system limitations

Take challenging electrical scenarios head on

The Experience Centers offer classes that address critical electrical design challenges and focus on requirements for electrical installations in classified areas based on applicable standards, such as NFPA-70 (NEC), NFPA 497 and API RP 500. The courses help electrical design engineers make selections based on area classifications and calculations to define proper installation methodology based on protection methods while meeting industry competency requirements for the NEC and IEC.

Find your best solution

Discover the latest technologies and techniques and solve application challenges form the basic to the complex. The Experience Centers will help ensure you select the appropriate electrical equipment — across all environments — on your next project.
