History of the Crouse-Hinds series Condulet™

In 1906, an upstate New York contractor, Morton Havens, Jr., designed and built prototype conduit fittings that met both his own high standards and those of the U.S. Patent Office. Crouse-Hinds was confident that Havens’ new conduit fitting could revolutionize the market and over the next several months, the company developed the Crouse-Hinds series Condulet™.

How did the Condulet™ get its name?

Crouse-Hinds coined the name Condulet™, combining conduit and outlet, in the early 1900’s and continues to be the market leader in conduit outlet bodies.
