In the wake of the Grenfell Fire disaster and the publication of "Building a Safer Future’ in the summer of 2019, a consultation was opened on proposed recommendations for UK construction. In spring 2020 UK government announced its workplan for a full technical review of Approved Document B (fire safety guidance in the building regulations) and proposed actions from Building a Safer Future.
