Rigid Bracing System Attachments

When it comes to seismic rigid bracing system attachments for single hung pipe, duct, cable tray or any trapeze hung system, TOLCO seismic bracing products lead the industry with patented, innovative solutions to reduce installation time by up to 50%.

Eliminate the need for seismic bracing kits with common brace assemblies for both lateral and longitudinal brace locations. Reduce installation and inspection time with built-in visual verification features.

Rigid bracing systems require half the number of braces as cable bracing systems, dramatically reducing installation time as well as the number of stress points on the structure.

TOLCO Fig. 980 universal swivel sway brace upper attachment

The most trusted seismic brace attachment. Designed to attach to the structure or structural attachment and is used with strut channel or pipe as the brace member. The attachment features a concentric attachment opening which is critical to the performance of structural seismic connections. Mounts to any surface angle. Break off bolt head ensures verification of proper torque and installation.

Designed to attach to the hanger rod and is used with strut channel or pipe as the brace member. The unique “Fast-Attach” yoke design fits multiple rod sizes and allows for quick installation of the yoke to the hanger rod for both new and retrofit installations. Tightening the cone point set screw until the head breaks off ensures proper installation of the rod at the correct torque. The stackable design allows installation of both lateral and longitudinal braces to be easily installed on a single hanger rod, with no disassembly.

Eliminate the need to cut rigid brace members to exact lengths when using adjustable seismic brace attachments. The unique design is unlike any other on the market with 6” of brace member length adjustability. When coupled with the Fig. 985 lower attachment, they provide up to 12” of total adjustable brace length. Designed to attach to system pipe from 1 to 12” and is used with strut channel or pipe as the brace member. Approved as both a longitudinal and lateral brace, consolidating the number of brace configurations to a single product. Break-off bolt heads at the pipe clamp and brace member connection provide visual verification of proper torque and installation.

OSPHD OPM-0052-13 Pre-Approval

Our OSPHD OPM-0052-13 pre-approval features TOLCO seismic products and B-Line series products for California Building Code 2013 and 2016, and International Building Code 2012 and 2015. Utilize our pre-approved seismic engineering guidelines to assist with your next project design, bracing layout, and submittal package for piping, ducts, conduits, cable trays and other systems. TOLCO seismic engineers helped to develop OPM testing methods with OSHPD and is the only pre-approval to include cable tray hold down clamps.
