Arc-resistant equipment enhances safety

Arc-resistant equipment is specifically designed to safely contain and redirect arc energy, no matter where the arc originated. Eaton’s metal-clad arc-resistant equipment is available in Type 2, Type 2B and Type 2C ratings.  Tested, in accordance with ANSI/IEEE Standard C37.20.7 for metal-clad switchgear and seismic qualified.

Switchgear customized to enhance safety 

Take a layered approach to arc flash safety by: removing the operator from the arc flash zone with Eaton’s Motorized Remote Racking system (MR2), utilizing arc-resistant equipment to contain the arc and lower incident energy with the Arcflash Reduction Maintenance System™ and the Eaton Arc Flash Relay (EAFR) system.
