SPX9000 variable frequency drives

The SPX9000 drive is the ideal choice for demanding applications that require reliability, responsiveness, precision and performance. Possible areas of applications range from lifting and conveying equipment to compressors and tunnel boring machines. The devices are not only easy to handle – they can also adapt to additional process requirements, particularly when it comes to controlling complex or customised applications powered by permanent magnet or induction motors. The sturdy design ensures effective protection against power supply disturbances. In addition, the sophisticated motor control system and the effective protective features ensure the reliable operation of both motor and drive.

Versatile use in demanding applications

The SPX9000 variable frequency drives are suitable for a wide range of applications including lifting and conveying equipment (cranes, winches and elevators), compressors and oil pumps, shredders, grinders, mixers and extruders as well as winders, unwinders and tunnel boring machines. This includes positioning-control applications, the synchronization of multi-motor systems, and the control and synchronization of winding systems. Thanks to its superior processor performance, the SPX9000 is able to use absolute encoders or rotational feedback to deliver precise motor control.

Perfect protection for reliable operation

Available with IP21 (NEMA1), IP54 (NEMA12) and IP00 degree of protection, the compact enclosures feature an integrated RFI filter for added safety. The two overload models (150 % and 110 %) protect the application against standstill in an emergency, while the integrated chokes and EMC filters provide effective protection against any power supply disturbances. Up to size FR6, a brake chopper is already integrated in the enclosure. 9000XDrive configuration software.

9000XDrive configuration software

With the 9000XDrive software, configuration is easy. Users can upload and download drive parameters, as well as modifying, storing and uploading them to any number of drives. It is also possible to print out parameters or to compare them with preset values to determine the drive configuration. User-defined functions allow operators to set reference values, start and stop the drive, and monitor signals as well as real-time values. These values can be displayed graphically, which simplifies the configuration process.
