Reliable and resilient RF network

Eaton’s solution provides for a single two-way RF network platform and a single software platform for electric, water, gas, DR and DA for true Smart Grid capabilities from a single entity. The RF mesh network delivers highly reliable two-way communications across a license-free 900 MHz spread spectrum (902-928 MHz) utilizing radios with 50 channels for frequency hopping. The solution incorporates adaptive modulation through auto-optimizing data rates and power levels to ensure reliability and maximized performance while optimizing operating costs. Outage detection is performed via AMI endpoints that feed into Yukon’s mapping/geographic visualization tools and third-party OMS applications in real-time

Outage detection is performed via AMI endpoints with extended super capacitors that utilize Eaton’s unique Anycast messaging to reliably pass notifications into Yukon’s mapping/geographic visualization tools and third-party OMS applications in real-time
